hello new blog! after spending the last 2 1/2 years on blogger i have decided to officially switch! woohoo! i wanted something more snazzy, zippity, and fun–of course with a little dose of class and professionalism (this is work after all). i went back to my very first post and was reminded why i started blogging in the first place. i was africa-bound and so excited that i wanted to share EVERYTHING with everyone. i still have lots to share: life experiences, lots of photos and when time allows some of my thoughts (but with college and a job that might not happen very often -wink- i am just being honest!)
things that have changed in between blogs:
-i was in high school then, i am a junior at the University of Texas now.
-i was heading for the first time overseas then, i have been overseas multiple times since then (all over europe & africa twice!)
-my photography business was still in the getting started phase. praise God, i am having to decline shoots and weddings because i am so busy now. it’s such a good problem to have! -wink-
-i have grown a lot–and i am not talking physically..haha…i mean, i have grown in: my walk with Jesus, street smarts, life-experiences and i have grown through very painful photography failures. i have been forced to pull myself up and keep going–even when i wanted to scream “to hell with this!” and throw everything away.
-i am a lot more independent now, which affords me a flexible lifestyle (i love this!).
-i like coffee…a LOT. i drink it way too much and at this point, i suppose you can call me addicted.
-i have realized who my true friends are…and those that only pretend. i have been blessed with new friends and been re-united with old friends. and lots of my friends are married (some with children) at this point!
-i have learned how to love better and how to better be loved.
i suppose this could go on forever and ever, so i will stop now. it’s a cheerful morning in new orleans and my thoughts are too deep for this day.
off to get some more coffee…. peace and love! merry christmas!
